Southern-Style Cheesy Stuffed Bell Peppers

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).

  2. Prepare Peppers: Cut bell peppers in half lengthwise and remove seeds. Set aside.

  3. Cook the Beef: In a skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef and chopped onion until browned. Drain excess fat if necessary.

  4. Mix the Filling: Stir in cooked rice, tomato sauce, salt, pepper, and Cajun seasoning. Mix until well combined.

  5. Stuff the Peppers: Fill each bell pepper half with the beef and rice mixture. Place in a baking dish and sprinkle shredded cheese on top.

  6. Bake Covered: Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes.

  7. Finish Baking: Remove foil and bake an additional 10 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
