Instructions

Step 3: The “Reverse Creaming” Method

· Add the softened butter to the dry ingredients.
· Mix on low speed until the mixture resembles fine, sandy crumbs. This step coats the flour particles with fat, resulting in a more tender and fine-crumbed cake.

Step 4: Combine Wet Ingredients

· In a separate medium bowl or a large measuring cup, whisk together the milk, egg whites, vanilla extract, and almond extract until just combined.
